Corona Fahrradwerke und Metallindustrie was established by Adolf Schmidt in 1891

The Corona factory produced cars between 1905 and 1909, manufactured under license from the Maurer-Union factory.

In 1908 they began building a Coronamobil, a 3 wheeled tricycle powered by a 1 or 2 cylindre engine.
